Our Organization
With a combination of specialized care and loving support, all horses rescued by Horsepower Ranch Second Chance Foundation, Inc. are given the opportunity to heal, thrive and to lead happy and peaceful lives. Through our equine therapy program we visit adults and children each year at medical facilities, hospice programs, and with families, veterans and first responders who have experienced traumatic events. Participants are also welcome to visit us at our ranch. Equine-assisted therapy offers a wide variety of benefits for people living with physical or mental disabilities.
All donations that are brought into HPR Second Chance are tax deductible and go toward the care and well-being of our farm animals, families that need a hand up, rescuing horses from kill buyers and auctions, and helping our local community with whatever tragedy may arise, we try and help out any way possible.

Our Mission
Our mission is to continue our passion for saving all breeds and size horses and ponies from auctions and kill pens, and to provide horses as therapy for children and adults to help facilitate growth, learning and healing. Yes, we do have a couple of miniature ponies that are registered therapy ponies that love to visit hospitals, nursing homes, hospice ect….
We are dedicated to enhancing the physical and spiritual well-being of special needs individuals and their loved ones through involvement with horses.
OUR GOAL for the future is to continue the rescue of horses and have the largest equine therapy ranch in central Florida fully equipped with all disability equipment for all types of cases…. And a big enough 24 stall barn to rescue more horses fully equipped with everything we need for all injured horses
HPR would love to put an end to these kill buyers and make it illegal in the US to torture, harm neglect these beautiful souls.
